Multi-dimensional composer/producer, Austin Carson is one of the most diverse talents available to produce stunningly original music for video, documentaries, advertising, multimedia, Internet, short films, animations, corporate productions and video games.

As a Minneapolis-based artist, Austin is a genre-blurring, experimental pop artist bent on delivering a previously unheard sonic experience. His music combines elements of synthesized, electronic, orchestral and acoustic genres to evoke Creating beautiful transitions between analog bass drones, psychedelic guitar riffs and vocal samples, he maintains a lighthearted undertone that challenges the listener.

After studying music in college, Austin became involved in a number collaborative music projects as diverse as writing surf rock to a Christmas album of new standards. 

His latest work includes scores for an experimental art-house film and a PBS station program promotional piece. When he’s not working on commissioned projects, Austin is songwriting and performing as YYY. One of the first YYY projects was to deconstruct and re-imagine the Beach Boys’ Pet Sounds album, giving it an edgy, synthesized sound. Collaborating a diverse group of singers, the album was released to enthusiastic reviews.

Austin has just finished a new album of original music as YYY which will be released in early 2020.
